"In my 20 years of community service nothing compares to the people-powered movement behind Gregor Robertson."

Andrea was first elected to City Hall in 2002 as a School Board member with the Green Party.  Inspired by Gregor’s leadership, she has moved to Vision and was elected to City Council in 2008.

As a School Board member, Andrea helped restore provincial funding, get junk food out of schools, and raise community expectations for public schools.  She also has had an accomplished career outside of politics that has included serving as Executive Director for the Wilderness Committee, Co-Chair of the Vancouver Food Policy Council, President of the Canadian Women’s Voters Congress, Vice-Chair of the Farmer’s Market Society, and President of the CCEC Credit Union.  Andrea was also one of a handful of Canadians selected to join Al Gore’s Climate Project.

Throughout all her work she’s left a legacy of responsibility and positive action and she is committed to Vision’s platform of positive change for Vancouver.
